and I am very thankful for our DFW forum,Dr Yiyi Sun and those have helped me polish the level of Delphi.

Is GIS Geography Information System?
 
So maybe I could see Dr Sun in US later.
As your student ,this is my hope!
 
There are two callings of GIS:
Geographic Information System and
Geographical Information System.
It is sure to be called "地理信息系统"if translated into Chinese:)

GIS is one part of GeoInformation Science.
For GeoInformation Science,there are also so many discussions in its definite definition.
