开发C/S database program, 给我一个理由,
1) Why you use PowerBuild (If you use PB) And NOT use delphi?
or
2) Why you use Delphi (If you using delphi) and NOT use PB?
because in my workroom, ALL the preplo are use PB.
I think, I don't know but a litter.
And I know delphi more than PB.
But Delphi can connect and conctrl DATABASE too,
Why I No use delphi must use PB writing program?
DELPHI's program is nice than PB's program, is not it?

can not use chinese, because the WB was bad.
and my english pool and pool, sorry all.

I think almost everyone of this site like delphi much more than pb,
so will suggest u using delphi.

but impersonally, pb develop db soft is much easier than delphi. but
if u want to get more functions than just a c/s system, delphi is easier,
and for the interface, delphi is better too. btw, if u use sybase as
ur db, use pb is fast in db operation

不好意思,那我就说2句.
我觉得PB和delphi的市场定位是不同的,PB主要用来开发数据库应用,用它
来写数据库程序似乎是比较方便,尤其是sql语言支持的非常好,但它除了
写数据库也干不了别的了.
delphi是一种通用的开发工具,数据库只是一个方面而已,目前国内有名
的几个delphi开发出来的软件,都不是数据库软件.delphi当然数据库
功能很强,但就这一点和pb比起来,可能要差一点.
delphi的好处是你开发的自由度大一些,举个简单的例子,比如界面,PB做出来
的界面非常难看,而delphi就可以做得很漂亮----数据库软件也需要漂亮
的外表的.

不过,说实话,我还是不能完全理解您的英语.

the same condition I am. Our project carried out use pb,
and I must face it.

In my view, we can discuss the tools for project before
the plan start, but if the group decide to use one tool,
you must use it. because it is team . and if a lot people
master pb, the project will go on smoothly.and if use
delphi, and all people must begin to learn Delphi . It
is no good for the plan .

In other way , if you use pb to devolpe the project, you
will learn another language. It is so good. Every tools has
its advantage and disadvantage. Yes now I find PB is not good
as Delphi, but if you just use it to develope C/S , it's enough,
and convenint. Delphi's price is so high, and it's service,
support is not so good ( perhpase it is )

so learn more develope language , it is no harm

无意义的问题. 就象5年前问为什么用foxbase而不用c写数据库程序一样.

I think you should know all of this if you really wanna be a programming
master.
But delphi is really good for database programming, I do not like pb
because it's too big, and product made by it is too ugly.

Delphi与pb是熊掌与鱼的关系，
如果你是老板，你可以取舍，
如果你只是老板手下的一个兵，最多你只能提提建议。
不过学PB不是太难，也不是件坏事。
（还没叫你去学VB呢，问问CJ用了Delphi再去学用VB是什么感觉;）

不过 PB 那个 DATA WINDOW 谁来介绍一下？我很有兴趣。
如果只用 SYBASE，那么 PB 还是不错的。

cj, 你我都是从dos时代过来的. 不会习惯pb那种编程方法的.
没有delphi, 你至少可以用notepad改程序. 然后找个delphi编译就成了.
pb就不能做到这点. 离开pb开发环境, 你连原程序都看不到.

我觉得ＰＢ象是后娘养的，前期的工作还不错，
越到后来越差，比如PB5的bug,PB６根本就不管
太不负责任了
