Ø What is Brio Query?
Brio Query is a reporting application that can be used on a Mac or a PC. This application is GUI-based, which means that queries may be easily created using drag and drop. Brio Query results may be exported into Excel.
Ø Where can I download Brio Query application?
Users can download the Brio Query from the Fiscal Affairs website http://fiscaff.sfsu.edu by selecting IDS, software directory, Brio Query Version 5.5.4, and selecting the operating system the user has. The direct link for a Windows user is http://beserver.sfsu.edu/software/WIN/brio%20installer.exe. The direct link for Macintosh user is http://beserver.sfsu.edu/software/Mac/BrioQuery%20Explorer.hqx.
Ø How do I install the Brio Query?
You need to have the Brio Query install key and serial number in order to install the Brio. This information is given in the Brio Query training. The user’s IT department may also have this information.
Ø What do I need to do to set up FRSDW in Brio Query?
Prior to setting up FRSDW in Brio Query, the following should be setup first. The user has to have an FRS account. The user should then attend Brio Query training and complete a form to request for an Oracle FRSDW account.
To setup Brio Query on the users desktop, the user has to request their IT department or DoIT at x83443 to have SQL*Net installed into their computer and the TNSNames.ora file configured to connect to the FRSDW server. The user has to download from the web and install the Brio Query application and the FRSDW.oce.
Ø Where can I download the FRSDW.oce file?
Go to the Fiscal Affairs website and select IDS, software directory, Brio Query, select operating system you use, and select download the .oce file.
