急!!多线程断点续传ftp软件 (200分)

软件开发我是初学乍练,赶上论文要做一个“多线程断点续传ftp软件”,实在是搞不定,请大家多指教:
1。delphi7中的indyftp(客户端)组件如何实现断点续传下载?
2。indyftp(服务器)组件如何指定本地服务目录?如何设置才可以支持多线程?
3。我已经搜集了一部分网上的资料,但是大多数是c++或java写的,看不懂,请大家提供 delphi写的相关资料的地址,如果该类软件的源码请发给小弟一份,不胜感激!sljyt@163.com
 
大致思路:
  用一个表之类的东西保存文件长度,下载进度,下次再从新位置开始下载。
 
我听说flashget是现在本地创建一个服务器文件同名,比原文件稍大一些的文件(扩展名不同),可能断点续传的信息就放在那多出来的一点点里。
我觉得你的思路也可行,能说具体一些吗?有代码更好,我是个新手。谢谢!
