Login as root on the server machine and install the RPM packages.
1.rpm -hiv sybase-common-11.9.2-1.i386.rpm
2.rpm -hiv sybase-ase-11.9.2-1.i386.rpm
3.rpm -hiv sybase-doc-11.9.2-1.i386.rpm

The following packages are optional.
1.rpm -hiv sybase-monserver-11.9.2-1.i386.rpm
2.rpm -hiv sybase-sqlremote-6.0.2-1.i386.rpm
3.rpm -hiv sybase-openclient-11.1.1-1.i386.rpm

You can install the required language modules. For example, the following
command installs Chinese language module.
1.rpm -hiv sybase-chinese-11.9.2-1.i386.rpm
